Gary Neville Abused in Street by Man with Aggressive Dog

Gary Neville has revealed he feared he might be attacked by a dog during a street confrontation at the weekend. The Sky Sports pundit was walking with his wife, Emma, when a man approached and subjected him to a torrent of verbal abuse, captured on video and circulated on social media.

In the footage, the man is heard calling Neville a 'w*****' and a 'f***ing p****', adding: 'You've got f*** all to know about the working class man you have. Even your own fans have turned against you.' Speaking on The Overlap, Neville described the incident as 'harrowing' and said the man had a 'really aggressive' dog on a lead. 'I thought he was gonna let the dog go,' he said.

Neville, 51, said the worst part was that his wife was present. 'That's the bit for me I think is wrong. To be fair, it's the first time it's happened like that. But when you're with your wife...' He added that he regretted not filming the man himself, saying: 'If I'd have filmed him, he might not have put it out.'

Neville's sister Tracey spoke out against the footage, calling it 'truly scary'. Former footballer John Hartson also condemned the abuse, asking: 'What does this moron think he is achieving?' Jill Scott, responding on The Overlap, said: 'To approach you in the street and start swearing, I just think... it was so out of order.'
