Kent police have charged three boys and two men in connection with the rape of a teenage girl, authorities confirmed on Friday.
Incident Details
Police received reports on Tuesday that a girl had been sexually assaulted at a private property in Gravesend between March 25 and April 19. Following an investigation, officers arrested two men and three boys.
Charges Filed
Ionut Dobre, 33, was charged with rape on Friday, alongside two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all from Gravesend. Benone Inofte, 46, was charged the same day with aiding and abetting a rape.
All five appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court in Kent on Friday and are scheduled to appear next at Woolwich Crown Court in south-east London on May 22.
Custody Arrangements
Both men were remanded into custody. Two of the boys were remanded into youth detention, while the third was released into the care of the local authority, police said in a statement.
