The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that the shooting occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday morning in Pittsburg, a small town with around 800 residents located at the border with Canada. The border patrol agent involved in the incident was unharmed, according to an FBI spokesperson. The shooting took place in a rural community that hosts New Hampshire's sole border crossing with the Canadian province of Quebec, near the port of entry.
