Fatal Blue Mountains Fire: Children Killed, Father and Four Escape

Emergency services personnel attended the scene of a devastating house fire at Lieutenant Bowen Drive in Bowen Mountain, New South Wales, on Monday morning. Two bodies, believed to be those of children, were discovered inside the destroyed home, while four other children and their father managed to escape the blaze.

Family Tragedy in Blue Mountains

The family of six children, aged from three to 16, and their father, in his 30s, were inside the residence when the fire broke out in the early hours. Police reported that the family was scheduled to relocate to Queensland on Monday, with the mother already en route to their new home, thus not present during the incident.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. The community of Bowen Mountain, a small town in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, has been left in shock. Further updates are expected as inquiries progress.
