Dwayne Johnson Gets Tinted Windows Ticket After Walk of Fame Ceremony
Dwayne Johnson Gets Tinted Windows Ticket in LA

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, 53, was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on Thursday, immediately after leaving the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. The Smashing Machine star appeared downcast during the traffic stop as an officer wrote him a ticket for illegally tinted windows.

The actor later confirmed that the citation was for violating California's vehicle window tint law. The Golden State enforces strict tint regulations: front side windows must allow at least 70% of light in, windshield tint is limited to the top four to five inches, and rear windows can be darker but require dual side mirrors. A first offense typically results in a $25 fine and an order to adjust the tint, while a second offense can carry a penalty of approximately $200 and an infraction.

Johnson accepted the ticket before departing. He had been all smiles at the star-studded ceremony, dressed in a crisp white shirt, cream dress pants, brown leather loafers, and eyeglasses. Among the celebrities present were Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Meryl Streep, who watched as Blunt and Tucci received the 2,841st and 2,842nd stars on the iconic walk.

During the event, Johnson gave a speech, joking that it was 'about time' for Blunt and Tucci to be honored. He praised Blunt, saying, 'Every single day, knowing Emily, that is one grateful woman who will wake up with her feet on the ground, being grateful about every moment. I feel like when you're grateful about every moment, that leads to the thing we all look for, which is joy and peace of mind.'

Johnson and Blunt recently co-starred in the 2025 drama The Smashing Machine, directed by Benny Safdie. Johnson portrayed MMA fighter Mark Kerr, while Blunt played his then-girlfriend Dawn Staples. Despite Johnson's widely praised performance, the film was a box office disappointment, earning only $10 million in the US against a $50 million budget. Critical reviews were mixed.

The pair also starred together in the 2021 adventure-fantasy film Jungle Cruise. Johnson has several major projects in the pipeline, including Jumanji 3 scheduled for December, Fast X: Part 2 due in 2027, and a sequel to Jungle Cruise, buoyed by strong Disney+ streaming performance. He will also headline a live-action version of Moana, set for release on July 10, which is expected to be a major hit following the animated Moana 2's billion-dollar gross.
