Brits Attack German in Pattaya After WWII Taunts

Two British tourists were involved in a brawl with a German man in Pattaya, Thailand, early on April 22, after allegedly taunting him about winning two World Wars. The incident occurred outside The Godfather Bar on Soi Buakhao, a popular nightlife strip, at around 2am local time.

Witnesses reported that the Brits, who had been drinking, began verbally abusing the 44-year-old German, calling him a 'little c**t' before the violence escalated. Footage shows the two men kicking and punching the victim as his Thai girlfriend, May Srinateetundorn, 31, joined the fight. Several sex workers and motorcycle taxi riders eventually intervened to break up the altercation.

May claimed the Brits attacked them as they were leaving the bar. She stated that her boyfriend, Marcello, has health issues including an enlarged heart and lung fibrosis, making him physically fragile. She alleged the assailants shouted insults about the Second World War, threw objects, and spat at her face. The Brits fled before police arrived.

Police at Pattaya City Police Station confirmed that no formal complaints have been filed. Onlooker Laila, 32, said the argument started inside the bar and escalated outside. May expressed frustration that bar staff claimed the CCTV cameras were not working, hindering efforts to file a report. Her boyfriend's phone was also damaged in the incident.

Authorities have launched an investigation. Pattaya, often dubbed 'Sin City', has faced criticism for crime and is undergoing efforts to improve its image as a safe tourist destination.
