British wrestling fan Marc Izard was found dead in Las Vegas after travelling to the city for WrestleMania weekend. Izard disappeared after attending a WWE SmackDown event on Friday, 17 April, and was later found dead on Las Vegas Boulevard South on Saturday, 18 April.
WWE Star Pays Tribute
WWE star Natalya “Nattie” Neidhart, who had met Izard and appealed for information on his whereabouts, paid tribute to him as part of the “wrestling family”. In a statement, she expressed her condolences and highlighted the close-knit nature of the wrestling community.
Family's Statement
His sister stated that he “passed away quickly from natural causes related to underlying medical conditions” and found comfort in knowing he died doing what he loved. She described him as a passionate fan who had been looking forward to the event for months.
Fundraising for Repatriation
Izard's family has launched a GoFundMe appeal to help bring his body home to the UK for a funeral. The campaign has already received significant support from the wrestling community and fans worldwide.
