A millionaire banker who was detained by police in the hunt for the 'Putney Pusher' has been re-arrested after detectives allegedly found class A drugs at his £1.4m mansion.
The suspect, 44, was arrested on Monday at his home in west London after a jogger shoved a pedestrian into the path of a double-decker bus in London in 2017. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm in relation to the notorious unsolved case.
But then after suspected drugs were found at his home, he was rearrested for possession of Class A and Class B drugs. He has now been bailed in relation to all charges.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “On Monday, 15 June, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. The arrest relates to an incident on 5 May 2017, where a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in Putney.
“Once in police custody, he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs. He has since been bailed pending further investigation in relation to all offences. Enquiries continue.”
