A homeowner who is fed up with their neighbor's rude 6am habit has taken matters into their own hands to try and stop the inconsiderate man from making so much noise.
Noisy Neighbour Dispute Escalates
Noisy neighbours can really make you feel uncomfortable in your own home. Whether your neighbours like to blast loud music or take on new DIY projects, if you are unable to get any peace in your own house because of noise coming from sources you cannot control, it can have an impact on your mental health.
Some noise is to be expected from your neighbours, and most of us understand that while it might be annoying in the moment, often a DIY project just needs to be done. Most of the time, this noise happens for a couple of days at most, and it always stops at night before you really need peace and quiet.
But one man has been causing so many problems for his neighbours that they have got their revenge in the form of an angry letter posted through his letterbox - telling him to stop his rude antics.
The Blunt Letter
In a picture shared on Reddit, the neighbours said they wanted to remind him that he 'lives in a terraced house', so therefore shares walls with those living next door, who can hear everything he does. But it is not routine noises like loud talking and DIY that his neighbours complained about. Instead, the neighbours claimed they could hear him having sex at 6am.
Warning: The below Reddit post contains strong language.
The letter read: 'Good morning, Just a reminder that you live in a terraced house. We have heard you sh**ging, singing, and God knows what else SO many times. And for some reason, it is all at 6 am? We would not care, but it is literally every week. Please shut up, your neighbours at number 17.'
Reactions Online
The note was posted to Reddit by a pal of the man who received it, alongside the caption: 'My friend got this through the letterbox.' Commenters on the post were left in stitches, as many of them praised the neighbours for having the confidence to put their house number at the bottom of the letter instead of just sending it anonymously.
One person wrote: 'Absolute power move putting the house number on the note. Would definitely not knock on their door.' While another said: 'Deserved if every word of that is true, it is a bold move putting their house number on it, but if my neighbours were making that much noise first thing in the morning I would be a bit f***ed off about it too.'
Someone else praised the note for being 'refreshingly non-passive-aggressive', which led others to discuss the tone used in the hilarious note. One replied: 'It is the question mark after 6am for me. Like they are openly questioning what the f*** is wrong with you to be so obliviously noisy at 6am.' And someone else also responded: 'I love that it is not, 'ew we can hear you sh***ing', it is just, shut the f*** up, I am trying to sleep.'
