Two Men Charged in South London Murder After Body Found in Kent
Two men have been charged over the death of a man in South London, whose body was found buried in countryside some fifty miles away. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Joshua Miller, 32, and Jamie Cooper, 27, both of Kingfisher Court, Wandsworth, were charged on Saturday, July 11.
Police were called to a report of a possible murder at an address on Kingfisher Court, off Queensmere Road, Wandsworth, at approximately 10.55pm on Thursday, July 9. Officers arrived to find the property empty but concluded someone may have been harmed there and launched an investigation.
Body Discovered in Kent Woodland
The following day, Friday, July 10, officers attended a wooded area in Borstal, Kent, where a man was sadly found deceased. The location is about 50 miles from the Wandsworth address. Although formal identification is yet to take place, officers believe they know the identity of the victim and have contacted his next-of-kin, who are being supported by specialist officers.
Charges and Court Appearance
Joshua Miller was charged with murder and preventing a lawful burial. Jamie Cooper was charged with preventing a lawful burial. Both men have been remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 13.
The victim and the two men charged were known to each other, according to the Metropolitan Police. The investigation is ongoing.
