An exhilarating new attraction is set to open atop one of London's most beloved landmarks, offering the public a chance to walk among the capital's iconic skyline. The UK's highest roof walk, named 'Summit', will officially launch at Alexandra Palace on 14 February 2026.
A Thrilling Ascent Above London
Created by the urban aerial adventure specialists Wire & Sky, the guided experience will take visitors on an hour-long climb to the famous Angel of Plenty statue that crowns the palace. The journey culminates at a breathtaking 130 metres above sea level, providing unobstructed, panoramic views across the city.
From this unique vantage point, climbers will be able to spot and photograph numerous famous landmarks. The vista includes the dome of St Paul's Cathedral, the towering Shard, the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf, and several of London's major stadiums.
Adventure for All: Details and Booking
The rooftop adventure is designed to be accessible, welcoming anyone aged over eight and taller than 1.2 metres. Advance adult tickets are priced from £22 per person, which includes expert guidance and all necessary safety equipment.
Visitors can choose from three standard climb experiences to suit different preferences: daytime slots for clear city views, sunset climbs for a golden-hour spectacle, and after-dark adventures to see London illuminated. Summit will also offer tailored group climbs for team building, private bookings, and educational visits.
Blending Heritage with High-Octane Experience
Andy Broad, Managing Director of Wire & Sky, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. "We're thrilled to bring rooftop adventures to Alexandra Palace – an iconic London landmark with history, entertainment and incredible views," he said. "This will be one of London’s most exciting attractions, combining heritage with adventure. We’ve worked closely with the Alexandra Palace team to ensure it fits seamlessly – and we can’t wait to welcome our first climbers."
Lucy Fenner, Commercial Director at Alexandra Palace, highlighted how the new attraction continues the venue's long-standing legacy. "For more than 150 years, Ally Pally has been the People’s Palace, a place where everyone can come to experience something truly special, and we’re thrilled to add Summit to that legacy," Fenner stated. She added with a note of pride, "We’re also the only palace you can actually walk over!"
Alexandra Palace first opened its doors in North London in 1873 and has since been a hub for entertainment and public events. The launch of Summit marks a bold new chapter, transforming its historic roof into a destination for modern, adrenaline-fuelled tourism.
