EasyJet Reveals Cheapest Days and Months for Budget Flights
EasyJet Tips: Cheapest Days and Months for Flights

EasyJet is sharing insider advice on how to secure the most affordable airfares. The budget airline recommends travelers consider specific days of the week and months when planning their trips to save money.

Midweek Flights Offer Better Value

According to easyJet travel experts, flying midweek—particularly on Wednesdays or Thursdays—can often lead to lower prices. While fares depend on various factors, including destination and season, the airline suggests avoiding peak weekend travel times. In a statement, easyJet said: "The cheapest day of the week to fly can vary depending on the destination, flights available, and time of year. However, we'd recommend being flexible with your dates and considering flying outside of peak weekend flight times. By booking to fly on Wednesday or Thursday rather than Friday, you can find bargain flights (and get more time at your destination!)."

Cheapest Months to Fly

The low-cost carrier also highlighted that the beginning and end of the year are prime times for affordable travel. For warm-weather destinations like Spain or Italy, the cheapest tickets are often found in January and February. For winter destinations such as Finland, November or March tend to offer better deals. EasyJet operates a fleet of 355 aircraft, serving 164 airports across 38 countries on 1,207 routes. While booking on specific days or months does not guarantee the lowest fares, passengers can use the Low Fare Finder tool to identify the cheapest travel dates and secure the best deals.

Additional Tips for Savvy Travelers

Sticking to these guidelines—such as opting for midweek flights and using the Low Fare Finder—could result in significant savings, leaving more spending money for the trip itself. However, travelers should also be aware of passport validity rules to avoid costly mishaps, as seen in a recent case where a mother was denied boarding despite her passport not being officially expired.
