Celestyal Unveils 2026 Arabian Gulf F1 Cruises for Formula One Enthusiasts

Celestyal has officially announced the launch of two exciting new F1-themed cruises set for the winter of 2026, providing guests with an unparalleled opportunity to experience the thrill of the Abu Dhabi and Qatar Grand Prix firsthand. These innovative sailings around the Arabian Gulf are designed to combine world-class sporting events with the luxury and convenience of a cruise holiday, offering a unique travel experience for motorsport fans.

Doha and Abu Dhabi Itineraries with Exclusive Race Access

F1 enthusiasts can choose from two distinct Celestyal cruises, each offering seamless access to purchase tickets for practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and the main race day events. The itineraries are carefully crafted to maximise the Grand Prix experience while exploring the stunning destinations of the Arabian Gulf.

For the Qatar Grand Prix: On 27 November 2026, the Celestyal Journey, accommodating 1,260 guests, will embark on an eight-night F1 itinerary. The ship will dock in Doha, Qatar, for three nights, allowing passengers to secure tickets and immerse themselves in all the race weekend activities. Following the Grand Prix, the cruise will visit Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island, and Khalifa Bin Salman in Bahrain. Prices for this unforgettable journey start from an attractive £659 per person.

For the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: On 4 December 2026, the Celestyal Discovery, with a capacity for 1,360 guests, will set sail on a seven-night F1 itinerary. Similarly, the ship will remain in port in Abu Dhabi for three nights, providing guests with the chance to buy tickets and witness every moment of the race weekend excitement. After the Grand Prix, the voyage continues with a four-night 'Iconic Arabia' sailing, calling at Doha, Ras Al Khaimah, and Khasab in Oman. Prices for this package begin from £689 per person.

Inclusive Fares and Additional Race Ticket Details

Both cruise fares are comprehensive, covering all meals, soft drinks, Wi-Fi access, port fees, and gratuities, ensuring a hassle-free holiday experience. However, it is important to note that race tickets must be purchased separately and will be available exclusively through Celestyal, allowing for a streamlined booking process for guests.

Celestyal's Strategic Expansion in the Arabian Gulf

Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer at Celestyal, expressed enthusiasm about the new offerings, stating: "Returning to the Arabian Gulf for a third consecutive season with both of our ships is a significant milestone for Celestyal, and a clear reflection of the demand we continue to see for this region."

He added: "Our previous Formula 1 sailings have been some of the most successful and talked-about itineraries we have ever operated, combining world-class sporting events with immersive destinations and the ease of a cruise holiday. Building on that momentum, our new Doha and Abu Dhabi F1 sailings for 2026 offer guests even more time in port, seamless access to race-weekend action and the opportunity to explore the Gulf in depth, all wrapped into the value-led, premium casual, destination-rich experience Celestyal is known for."

Competitive Landscape and Alternative Options

While Celestyal leads with these new itineraries, other cruise lines are also active in the region during race weekends. For instance, MSC Cruises offers similar sailings, and tour operators like Formula Escapes and Paramount Cruises provide packages that include grandstand tickets and seven-night voyages. However, these alternatives often come at a higher price point, starting from around £3,500 per person, making Celestyal's offerings a more accessible option for many travellers.

As the cruise industry continues to innovate, these F1-themed voyages represent a growing trend in combining niche interests with luxury travel, catering to the evolving preferences of modern holidaymakers seeking unique and immersive experiences.
