Wetherspoons' January Sale: Pints from 99p & Deals for Dry January
Wetherspoons launches 99p pints in January sale

As the festive glow fades and wallets feel the pinch, the UK's favourite pub chain is offering a warm and affordable respite. Wetherspoons has kicked off the new year with a major January sale, slashing prices on a huge range of drinks, including pints of beer for just 99p.

Bargain Pints and Dry January Options

The headline offer, available at 600 Wetherspoons pubs nationwide, is a pint of Worthington's beer for only 99p. The sale period runs from Friday 2nd January until Thursday 15th January 2026, inclusive. Pubs in Scotland will join the sale a day later, starting on Saturday 3rd January.

For those abstaining from alcohol, the chain has not been forgotten. A dedicated selection of low and no-alcohol drinks is also heavily discounted. Patrons can enjoy bottles of Guinness 0.0, BrewDog Punk AF, Kopparberg Alcohol Free, and Gordon's 0.0 pink gin for £1.69 each. Even better, Beck's Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are priced at just 99p.

Spirits, Wine and Food on Offer

The discounts extend beyond beer. Spirit lovers can grab a measure of Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky or Tanqueray gin for £1.99. Wine drinkers are catered for with a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99.

Substantial meal deals are also part of the promotion. Customers can purchase an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a crunchy chicken burger with chips or a side salad for £4.99, which includes a soft drink. Adding an alcoholic drink to the meal deal brings the total to £6.52. The pub giant is also introducing new gourmet jacket potatoes to its menu, including loaded and Mexican varieties.

Founder's Comments and Responsible Service

Wetherspoon's founder and chairman, Tim Martin, commented on the seasonal promotion. He stated, "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to also have a sale in the pubs."

He emphasised the inclusive nature of the offers, saying, "The range of food and drinks on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. We have included a large selection of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks." Martin concluded by noting his belief in the sale's popularity and reaffirming that staff will serve customers responsibly.

It is important to note that prices may vary at approximately 200 other Wetherspoons locations not included in the main 600-pub promotion. This nationwide sale provides a compelling reason to brave the January chill and enjoy a cost-effective social outing.
