Shrimp Shack Opens First Manchester Location This Summer

Shrimp Shack, the London-based seafood restaurant known for its seafood boils, lobster rolls, and sharing platters, has announced plans to open its first location outside the capital in Manchester. The restaurant, which has garnered a cult-like following since its founding in late 2023, will take over the former Frankie and Benny's spot in the Printworks, with an opening date set for this summer.

Menu and Offerings

At Shrimp Shack, diners can customize their own shrimp platter, choosing from a variety of dips and sides. The menu also features Signature boils with shrimps, mussels, calamari, and snow crab, as well as a Lux Lobster Boil that includes a whole lobster, sausages, corn on the cob, boiled egg, and potatoes in a special boil sauce. For those seeking value, the Shack Savers Selection offers options like fish and shrimps, a 120z Wagyu steak, and grilled salmon for £19.95. A £10 Lunch Menu includes items such as a Shrimp Rich Po' Boy, Double Cheese Smash Stack Burger, and a vegetarian Beyond Burger.

Drinks and Atmosphere

The drinks selection ranges from freshly blended smoothies and indulgent milkshakes to mocktails, sharing jugs, refillable soft drinks, and a choice of cocktails, pitchers, wines, and beers. Co-Founder Rish Gola emphasized that Shrimp Shack aims to redefine premium seafood, served fresh and fast with bold flavors, appealing to ethnic communities, families, and groups of friends. Dan Davis, General Manager at Printworks, expressed excitement about adding Shrimp Shack to the venue's lineup, which already includes Big Licks, Nando's, O'Neills, Tank & Paddle, and Dave's Hot Chicken.
