Beauty fans queued overnight outside the Trafford Centre for the opening of Sephora's third UK store, which opened its doors on Thursday morning. The French retailer chose Manchester after it emerged as the most requested city for the brand's next location.
The new store, spanning 500 square metres, features a Beauty Hub where customers can receive professional make-up advice and skin treatments, a Benefit Cosmetics Brow Bar, a Lip Bar, and a fragrance engraving service. It also stocks hard-to-find brands such as Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr, and Tarte.
A VIP preview event was held on Wednesday evening, attended by former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn, actress Alex Fletcher, Radio One presenter Natalie O'Leary, and members of The Real Housewives of Cheshire and Love Island. Musical performances included Liquorice Black and Sweet Female Attitude.
The first 500 shoppers in the queue received wristbands redeemable for exclusive goodie bags containing bestsellers from brands like Make-Up by Mario, Gisou, Elemis, and Glossier. Throughout opening week, the first 100 customers each day will also receive complimentary gift bags.
