Charity Shop Bargain Hunter Finds £2,900 Hermès Set for £8.50

A mother-of-two and full-time reseller has discovered a designer two-piece set worth nearly £3,000 in a charity shop for just £8.50. Emily, who documents her finds on TikTok, described the Hermès top and cardigan as her 'best find' since starting her reselling career.

The bargain was found at the Mercy in Action charity shop in Saltford, Somerset. Emily also picked up other items including Ugg boots for £15, a Barbour jumper for £7, and a Monsoon top for £10. She noted that the Hermès set would have originally retailed for around £2,900.

Commenters on her video were astonished by the value of her finds, with some asking where she sells the items. However, a debate emerged about resellers 'ruining' charity shops. One former charity shop employee defended resellers, saying they 'serve an important purpose in the charity shop cycle of life' by still buying items and supporting the charity.
