In contrast, WD-40 actively breaks down the adhesives, making it the "most effective" solution available. Cayla Leonard outlined a simple, step-by-step method for using the product. First, ensure you are in a well-ventilated space. Spray the WD-40 directly onto the sticky residue and allow it to soak in for several minutes. Once the lubricant has had time to work, simply wipe away both the WD-40 and the dissolved residue with a cloth or sponge.
