A wedding guest has shared her dismay after being told by the bride that her dress was 'inappropriate' for the ceremony, leading her to leave the event just minutes after arriving.
TikTok user @ebrown_rn posted a video recounting how she travelled two hours with her family to attend the wedding of her husband's friend. In the clip, filmed from her car, she explained that the bride approached her within 15 minutes of their arrival and told her that her outfit did not match the dress code.
The guest, who wore a multi-coloured geometric print dress, said she was unaware of any dress code because she never received a formal invitation. 'It was a text message that my husband received,' she said, adding that the bride also criticised her husband's attire and asked him to remove his tie.
Despite the bride's offer to let them stay due to the distance they had travelled, the guest decided to leave immediately, followed by her husband and children. Her story sparked debate on social media, with some users condemning the bride's 'rude' behaviour and others defending the importance of adhering to a dress code on the couple's special day.
