B&M and Home Bargains Recall Chocolate Over Undeclared Nuts

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent recall for Millennium Peanuts Caramel Milk Chocolate bars sold at B&M and Home Bargains. The 285g bars, with all best before dates affected, lack English ingredient labels and contain undeclared milk, peanuts, and soya, with possible traces of almonds, cashew nuts, gluten, and hazelnuts.

Loudwater Trade & Finance Ltd, the manufacturer, warned that the product poses a serious health risk to consumers with allergies or intolerances, particularly nut allergies, which can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis. Symptoms may include hives, swelling, breathing difficulties, and a drop in blood pressure.

Customers who have purchased the affected chocolate are advised not to eat it. They can return it to any B&M or Home Bargains store for a full refund, or contact the company at support@loudwateruk.com for further information. Point-of-sale notices are also available in stores.
