Parklife returns this weekend with fans advised to make their travel plans in advance.
Parklife 2026: Shuttle Bus, Travel Pass, Post Code and How to Get to Heaton Park
It's that time again! One of the biggest metropolitan music festivals in the UK is back in Manchester this weekend with two days of good vibes and hopefully good weather.
Parklife 2026 returns to Heaton Park this Saturday and Sunday (June 20 and 21) for a jam-packed line-up of acts including Calvin Harris, Skepta, Zara Larsson, Sammy Virji and Nia Archives.
The festival is attended each year by more than 80,000 people with many visiting Manchester specifically for the event. And with a weekend of things all taking place across the city at the same time, it's set to be a lively couple of days.
In addition to Parklife, there will be big shows from Take That at the Etihad Stadium, Lily Allen and The B-52's at the AO Arena (albeit not at the same time) and the Women's T20 Cricket World Cup at Emirates Old Trafford. With this in mind, travel across the city is set to be a bit busier than usual.
But, thankfully, there are a number of options when it comes to travelling to and from Parklife 2026. We've outlined what's available - in terms of public transport and travel passes - and how you can get to Heaton Park in time for all the main stage action this year.
What is the Parklife Travel Pass?
The Parklife Travel Pass is perhaps the most popular and convenient option in terms of getting to and from the festival. Available via the Bee Network app for £8 a day or £14.95 for the weekend, the pass includes travel on any Bee Network bus or tram service in Greater Manchester - including the direct Parklife Shuttle Bus.
Once you've downloaded the Manchester Bee Network app on an iOS or Android device, you can buy the pass by navigating to the tickets page and then choosing the 'multi-modal' option. You can then decide between a one day or a 2-7 day option, before choosing the Parklife ticket option.
The ticket will then be saved on the 'My tickets' section of the ticketing menu. Don't forget to make sure that the device with your ticket on has enough charge for entry as you'll need to scan your screen during each use.
QR codes, valid for travel, will only become valid on the day of use.
Where can I get the Parklife shuttle bus?
The dedicated shuttle bus will get you right to the Parklife entry gates and will run throughout the weekend between Manchester city centre and Heaton Park.
The only way to use the dedicated shuttle bus is to have the Parklife Travel Pass.
Shuttle buses will depart from Aytoun Street in the city centre, beginning at 10:30am on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday. Journeys take around 30 minutes on the bus, but it is advised to leave enough time for queuing to get on the bus during busy periods.
On both days, buses will depart at least every 10 minutes or when full.
Buses will operate back into Manchester from 6:30pm until the site is clear. Clear signage will be in place to direct you to the buses from the festival site.
Can I get the tram to Parklife?
On the Bury line, trams will operate every 7.5 minutes from Victoria to Heaton Park during the day.
Those entering the event are asked to get off the tram at the Heaton Park stop, located close to the West Gate entrance. However, this stop will be closed from 9pm on both nights.
For trams back to the city centre after the festival, attendees can use the Bowker Vale stop.
If you have not purchased the Parklife Travel Pass, there are contactless stations where you can touch in with your payment card at the start of the journey and touch out at your arrival point.
Trams are expected to be busy and there is likely to be a wait to get on board.
Can you get a taxi to and from Parklife?
Due to large crowds, there will be various road closures in place surrounding the festival site.
Those looking to get a taxi can head to the Manchester Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank on Blackley New Road, or the Bury Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road.
Customers booking their own private hire vehicles will need to direct them to the pick-up point at Heaton Park Sainsbury's.
What is the postcode for Parklife?
The postcode for Heaton Park is M25 2SW.
Is there a car park at Parklife?
There is an official Parklife car park on Sheepfoot Lane (M25 0BP) - but spaces are limited and you will need to book a spot in advance via the official Parklife app.
Users of the car park have been advised to expect delays in leaving the car park.
There is no on-street parking around the event site, and a number of roads will also be closed around Heaton Park. Traffic wardens will be patrolling the area around the site, and vehicles will be towed and impounded.
Where can I be dropped off by car at Parklife?
Again, there will be various road closures in place surrounding Heaton Park over the weekend and large crowds.
Parklife bosses have advised that roads will be busiest between 10:30am and 4:30pm, and again from 10:30pm to 12:30am.
There is a designated pick-up point at Sainsbury's on Heaton Park Road (M9 0QS), which will be signposted. This will be open from 10pm.
Those driving to and from the designated pick-up point should be aware that Junction 19 of the M60 will be closed from 7pm on both nights. Access to the pick-up point will be via Victoria Avenue and Middleton Road.
Can you get the coach to Parklife?
Big Green Coach will be picking attendees up from 22 locations across the UK with day return packages. Tickets start from £45 and can be booked in advance with a £1 deposit.
Can you cycle to Parklife?
There will be a bike rack in the main car park where you can lock up and store your bike for after the event.
Can you walk from Heaton Park after Parklife?
With the large queues for shuttle buses and with road closures in place, some festivalgoers will inevitably choose to make their own way back from Heaton Park afterwards.
Heaton Park is around a one hour walk from Manchester City Centre, but there will be a walking route clearly signposted along the way. The quickest route for walking begins by leaving through the East Gate and turning right. Then, follow the signs the rest of the way.
