Another scorcher is set to hit the UK as six counties can expect temperatures above 30C. According to Netweather weather charts, the high temperatures are forecast on Friday, June 19. Kent is expected to see the warmest weather, with highs of 34C across the day, with London close behind at 32C.

Several other counties in the south will also be welcoming the sunshine and reaching above the 30C mark. Aside from the south, there will also be warm temperatures in the East and West Midlands, with areas in the north also reaching the mid 20s. Scotland will be much cooler than most of England, with temperatures remaining in the teens on Friday.
Jonathan Vautrey, meteorologist at the Met Office, warned that despite the highs, the humidity will likely come with overcast skies for many. "By Friday there is potential for 30C across parts of south-eastern England," Mr Vautrey said. He added that "people will certainly be noticing how muggy it starts to feel during the second half of this weekend, and some quite uncomfortable nights for sleeping well, with overnight temperatures in the high teens across south-eastern areas of England."
In its forecast for Wednesday to Friday, the Met Office said: "The weather remains mixed during the middle and second half of the week. There will be further rain, especially in the north and west. Some hot sunshine developing further southeast." The Met Office are not predicting another heatwave, as these temperatures do not span over three consecutive days. The weather forecaster have however warned that it will seem especially warm throughout the night. A spokesperson said: "Relatively warm and humid nights are also on the cards- not as expected as what we had a few weeks ago, because it won't be wall-to-wall sunshine like that, we had a stronger signal for that compared to this, but nevertheless it is going to be turning warmer."
Due to the scorching forecast, some areas in England have been issued yellow heat health alerts for Friday, June 19. The alerts cover the East Midlands, the east of England, London and the South East, the UK Health Security Agency (UKSHA) said.
