The latest mid-season refresh for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone has officially arrived, bringing a substantial content drop, critical weapon adjustments, and a headline-grabbing crossover event. Season 1 Reloaded went live on 8th January 2026, introducing a post-apocalyptic theme alongside necessary gameplay tweaks and bug fixes.
Fallout Takes Over Verdansk
Central to this update is a major limited-time crossover with the iconic Fallout franchise. Players can engage with a new Fallout Event Pass, offering the new Sturmwolf 45 SMG on the free track and iconic Operators like "The Ghoul" for those who purchase the premium pass.
Additional in-season events, Quantum Exchange and Baron of the Wasteland, allow players to earn further rewards, including the new Hawker HX Sniper Rifle, unique weapon camos, and blueprints by collecting bottle caps and climbing global leaderboards.
New Limited-Time Modes and Gameplay Changes
Warzone receives two new limited-time modes. Power Armor Royale is an asymmetrical experience where up to 66 players deploy into a radiated Verdansk, charge Fusion Cores, and pilot powerful Power Armor suits equipped with miniguns and thrusters to battle Raiders and other players.
The in-season High Octane Battle Royale mode promises constant action, featuring loadout spawns, grappling hooks, and automatic redeploy mechanics for a fast-paced match. Weapon and Equipment Adjustments
The Season 1 Reloaded patch notes detail extensive weapon balancing aimed at improving attachment diversity and long-range combat viability for assault rifles. Several weapons have been adjusted in the ground loot pool, with the X9 Maverick AR and RK-9 SMG removed entirely.
New equipment includes the Deadeye Drone killstreak, while existing gear like the Needle Drone and Gas Mask have been rebalanced. The Counter-UAV now has more health but a lower Buy Station price.
Economy and contract rewards have also been tweaked. For example, completing a Most Wanted contract now drops a Supply Box containing a Gas Mask, Ghost Perk, and high-tier weapons. The final cache in Scavenger contracts guarantees a Tracker Perk.
Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
Activision has addressed a list of persistent issues with this update. Key fixes include resolving problems with challenge tracking for Recon Contracts and Launcher kills, correcting display errors for weapon camos and aftermarket parts in the Gunsmith, and patching an exploit that allowed players to fall through certain areas of the map geometry.
