Cricut has launched the StickerPix range, a new line of devices that lets users turn photos, designs and ideas into bespoke stickers and prints in minutes, offering a practical way to personalise Christmas gifts. The range consists of the StickerPix Print (£159.99) and the StickerPix Print + Cut (£249.99).
Water-, scratch- and fade-resistant prints
The machines deliver high-resolution prints that are water-, scratch- and fade-resistant, making them suitable for adding a personal touch to festive presents or creating keepsakes. Ashish Arora, CEO at Cricut, said: "Cricut has always been about helping people turn their ideas into something personal and real, and we are set to make that even easier with the launch of this new machine line."
Compact enough to be stored in a cupboard when not in use, the StickerPix devices are compatible with Cricut's Design Space app on mobile and desktop. The app allows users to create and customise projects from scratch or use existing designs and templates.
Over 1.8 million designs available
Users can upload their own photographs and concepts, customise editable templates, or choose from a library of more than 1.8 million sticker designs and labels before sending their creation to the device. The StickerPix Print + Cut also features a built-in precision cutting mechanism that trims around designs to produce professional-looking stickers without a separate cutting machine.
Beyond Cricut, alternatives include Silhouette's Portrait 4, a compact cutting plotter available for £156.49, reduced from £183.18, through 3DJake. The Siser Juliet Digital Cutting Machine (£520, Hobbycraft) offers a premium option for personalisation projects, including iron-on designs and cutting paper, card stock and craft foam.
Five-star ratings and customer feedback
The Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut has already earned a strong 5-star rating in the US and Europe. One reviewer said: "This is something I didn't know I needed until I received and played with it. It makes amazing stickers and labels, and lets you print out amazingly beautiful photos from your phone."
Another customer shared: "With Stickerpix, I can quickly and easily turn my phone's photos into little stickers or cards. It only takes a few minutes, and I'm already looking forward to using it to simplify the next children's birthday party."
While those less confident with technology may need time to familiarise themselves with the settings, Cricut machines include built-in material presets to help with speed and cut depth. One shopper remarked: "The photos print beautifully and being able to adjust the cutting shapes and sizes is a really cool feature." Another added: "The prints are amazing. The colours are so vibrant and high resolution and there are so many templates and backgrounds to choose from."
