Inside Boston Boat Party as Scotland Fans Gear Up for Haiti

Scotland fans have been partying on a boat in Boston ahead of their World Cup opener against Haiti. The Tartan Army gathered at Rowes Wharf on Saturday morning, boarding the aptly named 'Freedom' vessel for a three-hour cruise featuring an open bar and sandwiches.

High Spirits on the Water

The captain delighted revellers by blasting 'Freed from Desire,' with fans instead cheering 'Scotland's on fire!' Organiser Chris Gibson, 50, of the North East Tartan Army, said: 'We have 200 of the guys on board. It's an open bar - which I am worried about. I hope they have enough beer! We've done nine all over Europe. So this is the first one outside of Europe. The weather is amazing, it's going to be a brilliant trip.'

Most fans wore the new away strip as they cheered and sang while boarding. The ship set sail at 11am local time. After 28 years of waiting, Scotland will kick off their World Cup match tonight, nine hours after the boat set sail.
