Real Salt Lake are leading the chase for Hearts midfielder Cammy Devlin. The MLS side have tabled an offer to the 28-year-old, who is out of contract this summer and also has interest from Turkey and England, as well as a new deal on the table at Tynecastle.
Devlin's International Commitments
Devlin is currently on World Cup duty with Australia and is expected to postpone a decision on his future until after the Socceroos' involvement in North America ends. The midfielder has made 172 appearances for Hearts since joining for a bargain £30,000 from Wellington Phoenix in 2021, scoring eight goals.
Real Salt Lake's Offer
Record Sport understands that the offer from Real Salt Lake outweighs anything else on the table, with Devlin now mulling over what could be the biggest deal of his career. Real Salt Lake sit third in the Western Conference and are managed by former US international Pablo Mastroeni, with Anthony Pulis—son of former Stoke boss Tony—as assistant coach.
MLS rivals Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders have also shown interest in Devlin.
Hearts' Champions League Prospects
Should he choose to remain with Hearts, Devlin can look forward to a first crack at the Champions League. The Jambos face either Fenerbahce or Sturm Graz in the second qualifying round next month. However, they will have to do so without manager Derek McInnes, as Rangers are expected to announce the 54-year-old as their new boss in the next 24 hours.
Devlin remains in talks with Hearts, and the emotional attachment to the Gorgie club, where he has spent the last five years, could yet see him stay in the capital.
