Career Backgrounds of the Banned Players
Yaw Yeboah, who joined Manchester City from Ghana's Right to Dream Academy, had loan spells at Lille, FC Twente, and Oviedo before departing in 2018. In MLS, he played for Columbus Crew and LAFC, notably winning the MLS Cup with Columbus in 2023. Since leaving the United States, he has signed with Chinese club Qingdao Hainiu.
Derrick Jones, a USMNT under-23 international with two caps, has spent his entire career in the United States and was without a club after leaving Columbus Crew last year.
