The BBC was forced to apologise after a loss of picture disrupted coverage of Scotland's Women's World Cup group opener against Haiti. The incident occurred midway through the first half of the match, which was held in Boston, due to a world feed issue that lasted approximately five seconds.
Although no key moments were missed, the brief interruption caused concern among viewers across Scotland and around the globe. Commentator Liam McLeod addressed the issue on air, stating: "Apologies again if there's a loss of picture, it's a World Feed problem so everyone suffered it. But you're back with us now."
In addition to the verbal apology, a message appeared at the top of the screen reading: "Sorry for the loss of picture." The BBC confirmed that the problem originated from the world feed and was not a localised issue.
