Megyn Kelly Condemns Lindsey Graham's Disney World Visit During Iran Conflict Debate
Megyn Kelly has launched a scathing attack on Senator Lindsey Graham after the pro-war Republican was photographed enjoying a day at Disney World with a bubble wand. The controversy erupted as President Donald Trump considers deploying ground troops to Iran, with Graham being one of the most vocal advocates for military intervention.
Kelly's Fiery Criticism on SiriusXM Show
During her Monday SiriusXM broadcast, Kelly expressed outrage at Graham's conduct. "He's frothing at the mouth right now at the thought of thousands of our soldiers going over there," she declared. "So what is Lindsey Graham doing to support those troops and the families who are preparing to put their lives on the line? He's at Disney World."
Kelly mocked the 70-year-old South Carolina senator for being a "single man with no wife, children or grandchildren" who was "walking around with a bubble wand." She exclaimed, "There he is in the middle of Disney with a bubble wand. I'm sorry, but motherf***er! Look at him." The radio host admitted she kept asking herself "is this real?" at the sight of Graham enjoying "the happiest place on earth" while the United States potentially escalates its involvement in the Middle East.
Graham's Defense and Kelly's Dismissal
Graham told TMZ that his Disney World visit followed a meeting in South Florida with Trump official Steve Witkoff to discuss normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel. "I was invited to a meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff ... to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel," Graham explained. "I went to Orlando to meet friends after. I'm already back in South Carolina." He added, "I voted 7 times to fully fund the government. Call a Democrat."
Kelly was unimpressed with this explanation. "Who gives a s***? No one cares. You went to Disney. Our troops are about to deploy, and are deploying right now because you pushed our president into it," she retorted. While acknowledging that Trump "has agency" to make his own decisions, Kelly placed significant blame on Graham. "Let's be honest, Lindsey Graham pushed this more than anyone, and the nerve to then go blow bubbles at Disney while our troops are endangering themselves because he wanted them to. I just find this so heartless, so f***ing tone deaf," she said.
Broader Political Context and Public Reaction
The images of Graham at Disney World circulated widely on social media platform X on Sunday, originally published by TMZ. According to reports, the senator enjoyed Sunday brunch at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, accompanied by a younger woman and a child. A second TMZ story suggested Graham was also at Disney World on Friday evening.
X users quickly highlighted what they perceived as hypocrisy, noting that federal workers at the Department of Homeland Security have missed two paychecks during the ongoing government shutdown. Travel disruptions at TSA checkpoints due to staffing shortages have affected airports nationwide. Graham previously faced criticism for stating earlier this month that when he returns to South Carolina, "I'm asking them to send their sons and daughters over to the Middle East" to fight in Iran.
Parallel Political Controversies
Meanwhile, Democratic Congressman Robert Garcia was photographed at a Las Vegas casino during his spring break. Garcia's spokeswoman told TMZ he was visiting his father, who has lived in the area for 15 years. The California representative responded on X, stating, "actually I don’t mind what tmz is doing here. Like the story says my dad has lived in Vegas for 15 years and I had just finished lunch with him. I try to see him whenever I can." He added, "And like I said a few days ago, Speaker Mike Johnson should have never sent us all home," taking a jab at political opponents.
Ongoing Government Shutdown Crisis
The Department of Homeland Security shutdown has now entered its sixth week. During a tense Capitol Hill hearing on Wednesday, lawmakers from both parties blamed each other for the impasse while questioning leaders of TSA, CISA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. Acting TSA administrator Ha Nguyen McNeill warned that if workers miss another paycheck on Friday, total missed wages would exceed $1 billion.
Kelly concluded her tirade by expressing broader frustration: "I'm just angry about his influence over President Trump, and I'm angry that I have to look at pictures of him with his bubble wand, and I'm angry." The Daily Mail has reached out to Senator Graham for comment regarding Kelly's broadcast.
