Laura Loomer Escalates Feud with Tucker Carlson, Calls for White House Condemnation
Far-right activist and informal adviser to former President Donald Trump, Laura Loomer, has publicly demanded that the Trump administration intervene in her ongoing dispute with conservative media personality Tucker Carlson. The conflict centers on Carlson's critical views of U.S. support for Israel, which Loomer claims are undermining Republican unity and national security.
Loomer's Accusations and Demands
In a series of posts on social media platform X on Monday, Loomer called for widespread pressure on the White House to issue a formal statement condemning Carlson this week. She argued that Carlson's efforts are derailing the GOP and engaging in nonstop sabotage against President Trump. Loomer specifically targeted Carlson's opposition to U.S.-backed efforts against Iran, accusing him of lobbying for the country and urging the attorney general to force him to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Loomer wrote, "Tucker attempting to lobby for Iran at the White House!!!! When will Pam Bondi force Tucker to register with FARA???? How is this not a national security threat?" She further escalated her rhetoric by claiming Carlson spreads "poisonous Jew hatred" and mockingly referred to him as "Tucker Qatarlson" following his recent visit to Qatar.
Background of the Feud
The feud intensified after Carlson conducted a highly adversarial interview with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee in San Francisco on Monday, February 23, 2026. During the interview, Carlson, who has been vocal in his criticism of U.S. support for Israel and the war in Gaza, pressed Huckabee on why the U.S. continues to back its longtime ally. He also questioned the sovereignty claims of Jewish Israelis, noting that many modern residents descend from immigrants who arrived from Europe in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
This interview has exacerbated a growing split within the right-wing movement regarding Israel. Some factions argue that embracing Trump's MAGA principles should lead to a more isolationist foreign policy, including cutting ties with Israel, while others accuse figures like Carlson of veering into antisemitism. In response, Carlson stated during the interview that he "hates antisemitism" and wishes "no harm" to Israel.
Broader Implications and Reactions
Carlson's recent actions have made him an increasingly divisive figure on the political right. His show has interviewed various far-right personalities, including Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, leading to widespread condemnation. Reports indicate that Trump has been urging Carlson since January to end his feud with the pro-Israel wing of the MAGA movement.
The Huckabee interview also sparked international controversy when the ambassador suggested he would be "fine" if Israel expanded its territory, angering regional diplomats. Jordan's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Fuad al-Majali, condemned the comments as "an assault on the sovereignty of the countries of the region, and a flagrant breach of international law."
This internal wrangling over Middle East policy occurs as the U.S. military prepares for a potential attack on Iran to halt its nuclear program, with U.S. and Iranian negotiators set to meet in Geneva on Thursday. Loomer's outrage coincides with reports from Punchbowl News that Carlson was visiting the White House on the same day, though the White House, Justice Department, and Carlson have not commented on the situation.
