JD Vance Brands Aliens as 'Demons' and Commits to UFO Inquiry
In a striking statement, JD Vance, the Vice-President of the United States, has asserted that he believes aliens are 'demons' and detailed his obsession with unidentified flying objects (UFOs). During an appearance on the conservative Benny Show podcast, Vance pledged to delve into government files on these phenomena, promising to 'get to the bottom of' the matter.
Vance's UFO Obsession Amid Global Crises
With ongoing conflicts in Iran, rising petrol and grocery prices, and chaos at US airports due to a partial government shutdown, Vance took time to discuss his fascination with UFOs, now commonly referred to as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs). On the podcast, which bills itself as offering 'cutting, behind-the-scenes insight into the global conflict for freedom,' Vance admitted he had not yet reviewed the files but expressed significant enthusiasm for the topic.
'I actually haven't,' Vance said, showing more interest than in previous discussions about US-Israel military strikes on Iran. 'I have not been able to spend enough time on this, but I am going to. Trust me, I'm obsessed with this.'
Religious Interpretation of Extraterrestrial Beings
The Vice-President, known for his devout Christian beliefs, expanded on his views, linking extraterrestrial beings to religious concepts. 'I don't think they're aliens, I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion,' he stated. When pressed to elaborate, Vance explained that celestial beings performing unusual actions align with Christian teachings about good and evil.
'Every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there, and there are things that are very difficult to explain,' Vance remarked. 'I naturally go, when I hear about sort of extra-natural phenomenon, that's where I go, is the Christian understanding that, you know, there's a lot of good out there, but there's also some evil out there.'
He added, 'I think that one of the devil's great tricks is to convince people he never existed.'
Political Context and Government Actions
Vance's comments come as both former President Donald Trump and his predecessor Barack Obama have faced scrutiny over their knowledge of UAPs. Obama recently clarified a statement where he initially called aliens 'real,' insisting he was merely engaging in fast-paced podcast banter and saw no evidence during his presidency.
In response, Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that he had directed agencies to 'begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life.' This move has fueled speculation, especially after the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency registered the alien.gov and aliens.gov web domains earlier this month.
When asked if the government would release all its files, Vance replied, 'We're working on it,' indicating ongoing efforts to address public curiosity about UFOs.
