Shiloh Jolie, the 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has secured a role in a K-pop music video based purely on her talent, with producers unaware of her famous lineage until after filming.
The teenager auditioned for Dayoung's music video 'What's a Girl to Do' as part of a dance crew called Culture. She went through open auditions held by Starship Entertainment and made the final cut under the name 'Shi', a nickname she has used for other performances.
According to sources on set, the production team had no idea she was the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt until well after filming wrapped. Shiloh is credited as 'Shi' in the video, which also features a cameo from K-pop star Eric Nam.
This move aligns with Shiloh's desire for privacy. In July 2024, on her 18th birthday, she filed to drop 'Pitt' from her name, now going by Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. Her attorney Peter Levine clarified that a legal notice published in the Los Angeles Times was a requirement under California law, not an advertisement.
Angelina Jolie spoke about her daughter's privacy in 2024, saying: 'None of my children want to be in front of the camera at this time. They're quite private. Shiloh's extremely private.' A behind-the-scenes clip shared by Dayoung on April 9 showed Shiloh's fun personality and confidence during the shoot.
