Casemiro has given his full backing to Michael Carrick to continue as Manchester United manager beyond the current season, praising the Englishman for an 'incredible job' since taking over in January.
Carrick's Impact at Old Trafford
Carrick replaced Ruben Amorim in January and has overseen a remarkable turnaround, winning 10 of his 14 matches in charge. His leadership has propelled United back into the Champions League, a feat that has not gone unnoticed by the squad.
Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Casemiro expressed his admiration for Carrick's work. 'He has done an incredible job since arriving,' the Brazilian midfielder said. 'He deserves the club's total trust, and I believe he has everything to be a great manager of Manchester United.'
Casemiro's Departure Confirmed
Casemiro, who is set to leave Old Trafford this summer, also confirmed that he has no intention of reversing his decision. 'I am still planning to call time on my Manchester United career after four beautiful, wonderful years at the end of the season,' he stated.
The 34-year-old's departure will mark the end of a successful stint at United, where he won the League Cup and played a key role in the team's resurgence under Carrick.
An official announcement on Carrick's long-term future is expected in the coming weeks, but Casemiro's endorsement adds weight to the argument for keeping the former midfielder at the helm.
