Political Scandal Erupts Over RFK Jr's Explicit Poems
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sent raunchy, self-written erotic poetry to journalist Olivia Nuzzi during their alleged digital affair, according to explosive claims made by her former fiancé, Ryan Lizza. The scandal has sent shockwaves through political circles, revealing intimate details about the relationship between the prominent politician and the reporter.
Bombshell Allegations Surface Online
Lizza, a former Politico reporter, made these sensational claims in a detailed article published on his website. He revealed that the affair between Kennedy and Nuzzi began in 2023, shortly after they first met. Among the most shocking revelations was an explicit poem that Kennedy, who serves as Health and Human Services secretary, allegedly sent to Nuzzi.
The poem contained graphic lines including: "Yr open mouth awaiting my harvest" and "I mean to squeeze your cheeks to force open your mouth. I'll hold your nose as you look up at me to encourage you to swallow." Lizza obtained this poem along with what he described as "many others, too explicit to print".
Lizza, who was fired from The New Yorker in 2017 over alleged sexual misconduct, stated that these discoveries fundamentally changed his relationship with Nuzzi. He notably commented: "Thanks to Bobby, I am now aware of something called felching," referring to sexual acts mentioned in the poems.
Wider Pattern of Relationships Alleged
This isn't the first time Lizza has made claims about Nuzzi's relationships. He had previously alleged she maintained a "digital" relationship with RFK Jr and suggested she also had connections with MSNBC host Keith Olbermann and disgraced South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford.
Lizza's article, titled "Part 1: How I Found Out" and published on Telos News, explained he decided to break his silence as it no longer seemed "advisable or even possible" to remain quiet. The revelations come as Nuzzi prepares to release her tell-all memoir, "American Canto".
The initial discovery occurred when Lizza found a half-finished love letter in their Georgetown home that clearly wasn't intended for him. "'If I swallowed every drop of water from the tower above your house,' Olivia had written, 'I would still thirst for you,'" Lizza claimed in his article.
He continued: "Unfortunately, the lack of a water tower on our Georgetown home's roof ruled me out as the note's intended recipient. I flipped to another page and saw a name and the first line of an unfinished love letter to him that included enough details to confirm a physical relationship."
Fallout and Professional Consequences
Lizza described the moment he realized the identity of the other man: "My heart stopped when I realized who he was. He was a famous politician, 32 years older than Olivia, and well-known for a sex scandal." This pointed toward Mark Sanford, who resigned as South Carolina's governor in 2009 after admitting to an affair.
Nuzzi has acknowledged an emotional relationship with RFK Jr but maintained that her professional reporting wasn't compromised. However, the situation led to professional consequences when New York magazine placed her on leave, and Lizza ultimately broke off their engagement.
The scandal continues to unfold as both Lizza's revelations and Nuzzi's upcoming memoir promise to keep this story in the headlines, highlighting the complex intersection of politics, journalism, and personal relationships in Washington's power circles.
