ITV's Nobody's Fool Game Show Accused of Ripping Off Rivals

ITV's new game show Nobody's Fool, hosted by Emily Atack and Danny Dyer, has drawn accusations of copying rival formats after its debut on Saturday night. The show, which aired at 9pm following the final Britain's Got Talent semi-final, saw 875,000 viewers tune in—half a million fewer than ITV's previous flop The Neighbourhood.

The format features 10 contestants in a 'Smart House' who must eliminate the worst performer or lose half the prize pot. Viewers on X compared it to BBC's The Traitors, with @ryxtilley accusing it of 'ripping off' the hit show. Others called it 'not original', though some praised it as 'addictive' and '10 times better' than The Neighbourhood.

ITV has struggled with new reality shows recently, with Jeopardy! UK and Pictionary cancelled after one season, and The Fortune Hotel yet to be renewed. Nobody's Fool hopes to capitalise on the success of Disney+ series Rivals, in which both hosts star, with a second season already greenlit.

Ratings were likely affected by a UK heatwave, but some viewers urged patience. @KingOfSunshine tweeted: 'Episode 1 hottest day of the year combined with Saturday night launch doesn't give the full picture.' The show will air Sunday and Monday evenings at 9pm on ITV1 and stream on ITVX.
