Three Armed Men Hunted After Car Rammed Off M74

Police Scotland are hunting for three armed men after a car was deliberately rammed off the M74 motorway in Glasgow in what authorities have described as a targeted attack.

Incident Details

The incident occurred on the M74 eastbound off slip at Polmadie Road around 12:10 AM on Saturday, June 16. A dark blue Renault Clio deliberately crashed into a silver Nissan Micra. Three men then exited the Renault Clio armed with weapons and attacked the Nissan Micra, causing damage.

The Renault Clio then pursued the Nissan Micra, leading to further deliberate collisions on Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Police Appeal

Detective Inspector Stephen Greenshields stated: "We believe this was a targeted attack on the Micra driver and I am appealing to the public for help to trace those responsible."

He added: "I am particularly keen to speak to drivers who were in the area around the time and may have seen what happened. I would also ask those with dash-cam, private CCTV, or doorbell footage around Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road to review this for anything which may assist our enquiries."
