The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has confirmed it is investigating a new sexual battery allegation against hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is currently serving a four-year prison sentence.
The New Allegation
According to a police report cited by NBC News, a male music producer and publicist has come forward with a claim from 2020. The accuser states he was asked to attend a photo shoot at a Los Angeles warehouse, where Sean 'Diddy' Combs exposed himself while masturbating and instructed the man to assist him.
The producer further alleges that Combs then threw a soiled shirt at him. The individual, whose name is redacted in the official report, said he felt too embarrassed to report the incident for several years. He finally approached police in Largo, Florida, in September of this year, shortly after Combs was convicted on other, separate charges.
Ongoing Legal Troubles for Combs
This new investigation comes as Combs is already incarcerated. In July, he was convicted on charges related to flying his girlfriends and male sex workers across the country for drug-fuelled sexual encounters over many years. However, he was acquitted of more severe sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have resulted in a life sentence.
The recent police report also details a separate incident from March 2021, where the accuser claims two men covered his head before Combs entered the room and called him a snitch.
Investigation and Response
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received an official copy of the report from the Florida department on Friday and has now opened its own investigation into the claims. When contacted by the Associated Press for comment on these latest allegations, Combs' lawyer did not immediately respond.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in May 2028, though his sentence could be reduced through participation in substance abuse treatment and other prison programmes.
