Krispy Kreme Data Breach Settlement: Customers Can Claim Up to $3,500

Krispy Kreme has agreed to a $1.6 million settlement following a class-action lawsuit over a data breach that occurred on 29 November 2024. Hackers accessed sensitive information including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and financial details of some customers.

Eligible customers can receive up to $3,500 if they provide documentation proving losses related to fraud or identity theft. Without documentation, claimants can receive a flat $75 payment. All class members are also entitled to one year of free credit monitoring.

The deadline to file a claim is 22 June. Claims can be submitted via the settlement website or by mail, and forms are available by calling (877) 239-1879. The deadline to opt out or object to the settlement is 6 June.

Krispy Kreme has denied any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the claims. The settlement covers U.S. residents who received a notice that their information may have been impacted.
