At the heart of the row was a trial involving Adam Thomas and Jimmy Bullard, where Thomas screamed at Bullard for not trying, costing them both a place in the competition. During the final, Bullard repeatedly accused Thomas of being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating," claiming ITV did not broadcast Thomas's alleged use of "c-bombs." A show source told The Independent: "Some campmates were uncomfortable being on stage with David and Jimmy, so we sent them home during Unpacked." Thomas also left shortly after. Adam Thomas shared a post after his win, writing: "I have realised that when people try to dim your light, it says more about them than it ever will about you." Gemma Collins expressed disgust at Bullard and Haye's behaviour, calling it "the biggest show up in tv history." Sinitta, who walked off, said she found the incident "very uncomfortable and disturbing." She later added: "I hate that people are being called bullies. Adam apologised, and I thought that was a very grown-up thing to do."

On Britain's Got Talent the following night, Ant joked: "We had quite enough drama on the telly last night. So can you please be on your best behaviour tonight." Dec added: "If you misbehave, you'll be out quicker than Sinitta."
