Chelsea are reportedly open to selling goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen this summer after the 24-year-old expressed a desire to leave the club in search of more regular first-team football.
Jorgensen joined the Blues from Villarreal for £20.7million two seasons ago but has made only 11 Premier League appearances in that time. A brief run as a starter under Liam Rosenior ended after an error-strewn display against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, followed by a groin injury.
The BBC reports that Chelsea blocked a potential exit in January, but the club are now willing to listen to offers. European and English clubs are expected to show interest in the Danish shot-stopper.
Meanwhile, Robert Sanchez is expected to remain at Stamford Bridge, but incoming manager Xabi Alonso may look to promote young goalkeeper Mike Penders. The 20-year-old impressed on loan at Strasbourg, making 52 appearances and helping the French side finish eighth in Ligue 1 and reach the Conference League semi-finals. Penders has also been named in Belgium's 26-man World Cup squad.
Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt has labelled Sanchez a 'liability', suggesting he cannot play the style of football Alonso will demand. Paul Scholes echoed those sentiments, saying Alonso will need a new goalkeeper to build from the back.
