Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary former manager of Manchester United, is believed to be on the mend after being taken to hospital prior to the team's Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Precautionary Medical Attention
The 84-year-old Scot felt unwell before the 3.30pm kick-off and sought precautionary medical care. A source close to the situation has informed the Press Association that Ferguson is now "OK" and recovering.
Usual Matchday Routine Interrupted
Ferguson, a familiar face at both home and away matches, was seen on social media meeting guests at the stadium earlier. However, he began to feel unwell and was initially assessed in the tunnel area before being transported to hospital.
Manchester United declined to comment when contacted by the Press Association. The club's focus remained on the match, but fans and former players alike have expressed their well-wishes for the iconic manager.
Ferguson's health has been a topic of concern since he underwent emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage in 2018. He has since made regular appearances at matches, and his latest scare has prompted an outpouring of support from the football community.
