Conor McGregor, the UFC icon, has been making headlines for his controversial antics outside the Octagon. The 37-year-old Irishman, who hasn't fought since breaking his leg in 2021, recently sparked a frenzy by posting what fans believe is a video of him receiving oral sex on his yacht. The video, which was quickly deleted, showed his then-fiancée Dee Devlin's head before panning to a sea view. Fans speculated that an accompanying image, with his lower body cut off and the caption 'If you're getting it, get it top floor of the triple deck,' confirmed the act.
McGregor's notoriety extends to a 2016 press conference for his rematch with Nate Diaz, where he threw energy drink cans at Diaz after being pelted with a water bottle. He was fined £118,000 and ordered to do 50 hours of community service. In 2017, he stormed the cage at Bellator 187 in Dublin to celebrate a friend's win, pushing a referee and slapping a Bellator official. He later apologised, admitting he was 'out of line'.
One of his most infamous incidents occurred in 2018, when he threw a steel dolly at a bus carrying UFC fighters in New York, injuring Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to complete five days of community service and an anger management course. In 2019, he punched an elderly man in a Dublin bar after the man refused a shot of his whiskey, resulting in a conviction for assault and a fine of £842.
Months after his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor was arrested in Florida for strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief after stamping on and stealing a fan's phone. The civil lawsuit was settled out of court. Despite these incidents, McGregor is reportedly in talks for a UFC comeback, with Dana White stating, 'It's looking good' for a potential fight at UFC 329 in Las Vegas.
