A recent survey has placed former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk at the top of America’s most disliked public figures. The poll, conducted by YouGov, asked respondents to rate their feelings towards various individuals on a scale from very favourable to very unfavourable.
Trump, who has been a polarising figure since his entry into politics, received the highest unfavourable rating, with 54% of respondents viewing him negatively. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, was not far behind, with 48% unfavourable ratings. Both figures have been the subject of intense public debate and media scrutiny.
The survey highlights a growing divide in public opinion, with many Americans expressing strong negative sentiments towards these prominent personalities. Other figures on the list included President Joe Biden, who had a 44% unfavourable rating, and Vice President Kamala Harris, at 42%.
Political analysts suggest that the high unfavourability ratings for Trump and Musk reflect broader societal divisions and the increasing polarisation of American society. The results come amid ongoing controversies surrounding both individuals, including Trump’s legal battles and Musk’s management of Twitter.
