Esha was walking home from daycare with her mother, grandmother, and younger brother when she was hit by a Nissan Navara ute at approximately 6:47 pm. The collision took place at the intersection of Lynfield Drive and Toohey Street in Caboolture, as reported by 7News.
It is understood that the ute, driven by a 49-year-old Caboolture woman, was turning right from Lynfield Drive onto Toohey Street when it struck the little girl. Esha sustained critical injuries in the impact and was sadly declared dead at the scene. The driver remained at the intersection and cooperated with Queensland Police during their initial investigation.

Esha's grandmother, Amtus Akber, visited the scene on Wednesday to see the dozens of flowers and stuffed animals left in memory of her granddaughter. She described Esha as a special and loving child, saying, 'She was a special child, a very, very loving child. Loveable and loving child. The way she loved you, the way she hugged you.'
