Carrie Anne Fleming, the Canadian actress best known for her roles in horror television series such as 'iZombie' and 'Supernatural', has died at the age of 51. She passed away on February 26 in Sidney, British Columbia, following complications from breast cancer, as confirmed by her 'Supernatural' co-star Jim Beaver.
Born on August 16, 1974, in Digby, Nova Scotia, Fleming later moved to Victoria, British Columbia, where she attended Mount Douglas Senior Secondary and studied drama at the Kaleidoscope Theatre and the Kidco Theatre Dance Company. Her early career included a recurring role on 'Viper' and a part in Adam Sandler's 'Happy Gilmore'.
Fleming's breakthrough came when director Dario Argento cast her in his show 'Masters of Horror' in 2005, where she played a disfigured woman with cannibalistic tendencies in the episode 'Jenifer'. She went on to appear in various horror productions, including 'The Tooth Fairy' and 'Bloodsuckers'. On 'Supernatural', she played Karen Singer, the wife of Bobby Singer, portrayed by Jim Beaver.
In 2015, Fleming appeared in the TV film 'The Unauthorized Full House Story', playing the mother of Candace Cameron Bure's character. More recently, she had a recurring role for five seasons as Candy Baker on the CW's 'iZombie'. She also performed in several stage productions in British Columbia, including 'Noises Off', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Steel Magnolias', and 'Fame'.
Fleming is survived by her daughter Madalyn Rose (Max). A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
