Joe Rogan Slams Trump Over Epstein 'Hoax' Claims, Reveals Refusal to Meet Billionaire
Rogan Criticises Trump on Epstein, Details Refusal to Meet Billionaire

Podcasting giant Joe Rogan has launched a sharp critique of former President Donald Trump's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein saga, branding the administration's dismissal of the controversy as a 'hoax' as looking 'terrible'. Simultaneously, Rogan revealed the 'crazy' background behind his own name appearing in the recently released Epstein files, detailing his firm refusal to ever meet the disgraced billionaire.

Rogan's Firm Rejection of Epstein Meeting

During his Tuesday show, while in conversation with guest Cheryl Hines, the wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Rogan, 58, explained the circumstances. He disclosed that in 2017, Jeffrey Epstein was actively seeking an introduction to him. 'Jeffrey Epstein was trying to meet with me,' Rogan admitted candidly. 'And I was like, "What? Like, no thanks." It’s not even a remote possibility that I would’ve ever gone, especially after I Googled him.'

The situation unfolded when one of Rogan's guests, theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss, who appeared on the show in September 2017, attempted to facilitate a meeting. 'One of my guests was trying to get me to meet him,' Rogan recounted. 'I was like, "are you high? Like, what are you talking about?"' After the episode, Epstein emailed Krauss requesting an introduction. Krauss agreed to reach out, but Rogan never responded, effectively shutting down the proposition.

Critique of Trump's 'Hoax' Narrative

Rogan then turned his ire towards the Trump administration's response to the release of the Epstein files. He unleashed pointed criticism over Trump's repeated insistence that the entire saga was fabricated. 'None of this is good for this administration. It looks terrible,' Rogan stated emphatically. 'It looks terrible for Trump, when he was saying that none of this was real, this is all a hoax. This is not a hoax.'

He elaborated on his stance during the conversation with Hines, asserting that he would only consider meeting someone like Epstein if he were 'a guy who is sucking up to the rich and powerful.' Rogan observed, 'Some people get intoxicated by being in a circle of rich and powerful people — even if they don’t have any ambitions of being one of those people. They just want to be around them.'

Shifting Allegiance in the MAGA Movement

This represents a notable shift for Rogan, who is widely credited with attracting young male voters to the MAGA movement during the November election and openly endorsed Trump in the 2024 presidential race. The podcaster even hosted Trump as a guest on his show. However, in the months since Trump's return to the White House, Rogan has become increasingly vocal in his criticism of the administration's decisions.

Rogan has accused the president of 'gaslighting' the public regarding the release of the Epstein files, marking him as one of the latest MAGA allies to publicly turn on the Trump administration over its handling of the investigation. His bombshell remarks follow the Department of Justice's release of over three million files at the end of January, which included approximately 180,000 photos and 2,000 videos related to the case.

The podcaster's outspoken commentary underscores a growing fissure within certain factions of the Trump support base, as figures like Rogan choose to speak their truth and fiercely criticise what they perceive as mishandling of significant legal and ethical matters.
