Love Island All Stars Finale Fails to Recapture Past Glory with 1 Million Viewers

The Love Island All Stars final drew just over 1 million viewers, according to overnight ratings from Barb, suggesting the spin-off series failed to reignite widespread interest in the franchise. ITV, however, reported a slightly higher figure of 1.3 million when including streaming on ITVX, which it said was in line with last year's winter final.

The All Stars series brought back former contestants, including Georgia Harrison, Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Georgia Steel, Hannah Elizabeth, and Anton Danyluk, who were reportedly paid significantly more than first-time islanders. Despite promises of 'absolute TV Gold' from Harrison, the opening episode was simulcast on ITV1 and ITV2 for the first time, though only ITV2 aired the final.

Molly Smith and Tom Clare were crowned winners in South Africa. The show's peak came in 2019 when series five attracted 6 million viewers for its final, making it the most watched ever. Since then, ratings have declined, with the 2023 series opener watched by 1.3 million.
