Karishma Vijay, the winner of The Apprentice 2026, has shared an emotional video on Instagram revealing that she has been neglecting her mental and physical health. The 29-year-old entrepreneur, who secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar for her skincare brand Kishkin, admitted that despite her career success, she is 'not doing well'.
In the video, Vijay explained that her life has 'done a complete 180' in the past year, with major changes including moving house, launching a business, winning The Apprentice, getting engaged, and planning a wedding. She described her daily routine as a whirlwind of filming content, packing boxes, planning marketing campaigns, and attending podcasts and interviews.
'Life may look great on social media but the God honest truth is that I'm not doing very well,' she said, as the video showed her crying. 'Whilst my career may be on an upwards trajectory I've completely neglected me, my mental health and my physical health.'
Vijay revealed that she is at her heaviest weight and feels exhausted, adding that her body is her biggest insecurity—not because of her curves or the number on the scale, but because of her constant fatigue. She stated her intention to return to the gym and focus on fitness.
The post garnered a wave of support from friends and fans, including fellow Apprentice candidate Rothna Akhtar, who commented: 'Always here for you babygirl, so proud of you. Let's get you feeling the best you've ever felt.'
This is not the first setback Vijay has faced. In a previous interview, she revealed that she lost £25,000 worth of stock when a shipment from Hong Kong sank during a typhoon, leaving her stock 'at the bottom of the ocean'. That disaster prompted her to apply for The Apprentice, which she described as her 'last chance' to launch a business.
