Gabby Logan has likened her 25-year marriage to husband Kenny Logan to 'a team sport', reflecting on the highs and lows they have faced together. The 51-year-old TV presenter and the former rugby player, 52, met in a bar a quarter of a century ago and married two years later.
In a candid interview with Good Housekeeping Magazine, Gabby said: 'Sometimes there's going to be a player who needs picking up, and other times they're the star of the game and it's someone else who needs the boost. With a marriage, it's the same: you're never walking along the same bit of road at the same time. We also never stop working at it.' She added that marriage 'isn't something you can just leave to be and hope it's all right in 15 years' and 'needs a bit of assessment'.
The couple have faced challenges including IVF treatment to conceive their twins Lois and Reuben in 2005, and Kenny's prostate cancer diagnosis in February 2022. Kenny was declared cancer-free last year, but has been open about ongoing issues with erectile dysfunction. Gabby has spoken about the importance of discussing such taboo topics, despite their children finding it embarrassing.
Gabby previously revealed she wished she had had more children, telling Giovanna Fletcher's podcast: 'I thought I'd have more children, I always thought I'd have four children. Just the other night I said to Kenny, when we were talking about our empty house and the future, that we should have had more children.'
