Simon Cowell's Bizarre Anti-Ageing Regimen: Filtered Blood & 'Ageing Backwards'
Simon Cowell reveals gruesome anti-ageing blood trick

Music mogul and television judge Simon Cowell has disclosed the extreme and rather gruesome lengths he goes to in his quest to maintain a youthful appearance and vitality. The 66-year-old has traded his former party-loving lifestyle for a rigorous health regime, which he claims has him 'ageing backwards'.

The Gruesome Wellness Procedure

In a recent interview, the Britain's Got Talent star detailed a startling treatment he undergoes at a wellness clinic. Cowell explained that his blood is drawn out of his body, rinsed and filtered, before being returned to his system. This unconventional practice is part of a broader shift in his approach to health, spurred by a couple of serious accidents that heightened his awareness of his own mortality.

Describing his current state, Cowell said, "You do all these tests and they tell you your age — so I’ve actually aged backwards by eating better, more exercise, less stress, certain supplements. My brain is still there, I still have the energy." This transformation from self-confessed workaholic to a more relaxed family man is a central theme in his upcoming Netflix documentary, 'Simon Cowell: The Next Act', scheduled for release next month.

Abandoning Cryogenic Freezing

The star also admitted to once considering an even more futuristic, and macabre, method of cheating death: cryogenic freezing. However, he quickly abandoned the idea after learning the chilling specifics. Cowell confessed in the documentary, "I actually was going to freeze myself. I thought, 'Why not?'. Then I found out they chop your head off, so you come back in two thousand years as a floating head. I’m like, 'No, I don’t want that'."

This health awakening was triggered by two significant accidents. The first occurred in 2017 when he fell down the stairs at his London home. This was followed by a more severe incident in 2020 where he broke his back after falling from his electric bike in Los Angeles.

A New Outlook on Life and Fatherhood

Now a father to 11-year-old Eric, whom he shares with partner Lauren Silverman, Cowell's priorities have fundamentally shifted. He revealed that 'nothing compares' to the joy of hearing his son laugh and be happy. Despite his success, Cowell is determined that Eric will not become a 'nepo baby' (nepotism baby).

"I’ve said to him, 'Look, just to be clear, you’re going to start at the bottom like I did. So, you either decide you want to be a runner or you want to be in the mail room. You’re not going to get a free pass', he stated, emphasising his desire for his son to earn his own way.

Embracing a less structured life, the creator of Syco Entertainment says he no longer maintains a rigid schedule. "I actually think that if you don't know what you're doing next, life is more exciting... I'm always working on other ideas, and I don't want to jinx anything by saying what they are, but I'm happy," he shared. Adding a spiritual element to his routine, Cowell also mentioned that he speaks to his 'guardian angel' daily, seeking peace above all else.
